How to be more productive with a busy schedule

You guys know that I was working a full-time job, working a part-time job, going to grad school full-time and adjusting to being a single parent. Needless to say I was extremely busy I like to say that overwhelmed was my middle name. During this season in my life I had an opportunity to learn how to get in better control of my schedule. That was the only option if I was going to be able to balance all of my responsibilities plus my goals. Today I want to share 2 simple productivity hacks that will help shift your life.
Productivity Hack 1: Clean up your space because it’s a physical manifestation of your mind
  1. Have more clear thinking more focus
  2. Helps you to become more productive

I actually recorded a video about this here!

I know that sometimes this can seem like such a small step then that it wouldn’t have such a big difference but I promise you it does. I even have my clothes color coordinated and my keys in the same location. But it’s organized my space so much so that I don’t waste unnecessary time looking for things.
The truth is when we’re not productive or when our workspace is in chaos there’s a cost to our overall well-being. Your emotional health suffers because you’re stressed and anxious. As well as your productivity suffers because you’re able to do less in the shorter amount of time. The best things that you can do for yourself is to commit to straightening up your area so that in turn and has a positive impact on your emotional health and your productivity.
Time blocking is the second method that has helped me tremendously. With time blocking you break your day into segments of time that are dedicated to accomplishing a specific task, or group of tasks. Time blocking also allows you to build your day around your most important tasks.
With time blocking you’re able to see the big picture and be more productive because you’re not trying to multitask.
