The 4 Types Of Content Every Coach Needs

Creating content as a coach can sometimes feel overwhelming, yet it's imperative to run a successful online coaching business. The good news is it doesn’t have to be. In today’s article I will share four types of content you can create to stand out as a coach and attract your ideal clients.

The first type of content is client attraction content.

The premise of this content is to attract your dream client. You’re not using this content to sell anything to them your goal with this content is to create engagement and to also get shares as to expand your reach. An example of this kind of content would be reels, quotes or funny memes. I have even used my own mistakes for content (I.e. when I burned my grilled cheese).

The best part of this content is its real. Just be you. This content works wonderfully because it draws your audience in, entertains them, makes you feel relatable and down to earth snd then it opens doors for continuous engagement.

Content type #2 is brand building.

This is content that is centered on your passion and zone of genius. With this type of content you’re sharing tips, strategies and value. This is where you’re also solidifying yourself as the expert at the topic at hand. For example if you’re a book writing coach you could share your journey of wanting to be an aspiring author and your three greatest takeaways. Or you could share the top three myths about building a budget as a budget coach. You will want people to look to you when they think of your subject matter so give them things to look for.

Content type #3 is sales content.

The first two types of content are all about giving services this is where you can sell. With this type of content you can use client or personal stories, stats or emotions to help your audience know why they should take the next step and why NOW! Once you have laid the foundation with the brand building and content attraction your audience will be ready to take your next call to action. Use this content to address doubts, to explain benefits, list results and give an overview of the expectations.

Content type #4 is validation.

With this content I suggest sharing results and testimonials. Of course you’re going to brag about your services and offers but what are other people saying about it? What results are other people getting? When you share this it gives people that are on the fence the permission to jump over. Let them know why this could work for them using past examples. You could also use these posts to share business growth. You could for example share where you began and where your business is headed. This gives people insight into the growth your business has underwent and also why they should become a part of it.

Overall your content should not be all focused on sales. Yes sure getting sales are great but if you’re not focused on serving first it becomes next to impossible to take it to that next level. The good news is now you understand different content you can begin to create to organically engage your audience. I challenge you to have fun with it!
