3 Hacks To Make Your Webinar Successful
Many times the idea or concept of hosting a webinar can feel extremely overwhelming. The good news is webinars don’t have to be disheartening or frustrating. In today’s video I’m going to share three tips that you can use to incorporate into your webinar to make them successful. The best part is these are hacks that are used by some of the World most renowned speakers.
1. Tell stories!
Let’s be honest stories sell. Stories are engaging. When you bring in stories to your webinar it’s almost like watching a movie or reading a book and it’s highly enticing for your audience. So one thing that I like to do is I think of relevant stories to the topic and consider ways in which I can weave them in. I even practice sharing them on social media or with my family ahead of time. You can choose to tell stories that are personal to you, you can tell stories about former or current clients or you can tell general stories that just relate to the topic. For example when I was creating a webinar about learning how to write your book I told a story about JK Rowling and how she wrote her book and presented it to 12 different publishing houses and how every single one of them turned her down. She continue to believe in her dream and her vision and eventually went on to be published and now Harry Potter is the second most read book in the Bible. The reason I told the story is because it’s relatable and it’s very encouraging reminding my audience why they should keep going forward.
2. Engage your audience.
I cannot tell you how boring it is to attend webinars where people are just speaking at you. They’re not considering what you’re thinking. They are not asking you questions and they are not finding ways to engage with you. One thing that I like to do in my webinars is find creative ways to engage my audience. I might give them tasks to do in the middle of the webinar I’ll ask them questions I even post questions on slides for them to type in the chat box. Doing this gives them practice in responding to you and keeps them engaged throughout the webinar. If you’re looking for ideas you could simply ask them to type in where they are logging in from in the chat box or what they are for dinner! I always do this when beginning my webinar and I love it because it’s an easy way to get started.
3. Give them something AFTER your call to action.
At the end of every webinar either give a freebie or allow space for questions. Sometimes I’ll do both. This ensures that my audience stays on until the end because they know that what I have to offer them is great and it allows them to be able to hear the pitch and make an informed decision knowing that there still a blessing on the other side either way.
The truth is webinars don’t have to be frustrating in fact they can be quite fun. I challenge you to use some of these tips and start incorporating them into your webinar and you’ll notice a massive shift in your outcome.
