Types of Funnels

What type of funnel do you think you need?

That's a trick question. You need both types. Some people will feel like you only need one to keep things simple, but the truth is that all of your clients are not the same. Therefore having two different funnel options will meet your clients where they are. Having both funnels creates a different experience for our clients.

Live Funnel: With this funnel you are involved in each aspect. It involves live content (i.e. live sales call, live webinar or challenge).

Evergreen Funnel: The next type of funnel is evergreen. If you think of a tree that stays green all year that is where the term evergreen comes from. This funnel is more automatic and passive. This is always relevant and works in the background for you.

Live Funnel

I personally recommend doing your first round live so that you can learn the process fully before you make it automated.

The first thing you need to do is to map out the steps of how you would convert a client through live interactions. This would be you showing up live on your stories, live on videos, You would also likely have sales calls. Because this funnel is live it is very engaging. The good news is because you're live you're getting feedback and comments that help you to validate your process and determine what is or is not working.

An example of what a live funnel would look like is posting on your stories to build the hype, doing a live webinar where at the end you promote a fast action bonus to take action that day or  promoting a sales call with you live.

Evergreen Funnel

If you have ever done a successful live launch then you can use the same process to build out and make it evergreen.  The thing with this is you will need to determine a growth plan to get people into the funnel in the first place. The first first thing you need to do is to map out the steps of how you would convert a client through passive interactions. Then build your funnel from there.

This may look like you taking your live webinar and plugging it into a system (like easy webinar) where it always runs. In the webinar you could still promote a fast action bonus if they take action. If not you then could  take your clients through a series of emails where they can take the next step. The trouble is because it's not as engaging sometimes people fall off the funnel. This is where having testimonials and social proof is going to be powerful. This will give people the proof they need that taking the next step is best.

Some easy evergreen funnels could be for smaller ticket offers (trip wire, mini course etc.).

Having both funnels will allow for healthy growth in your business. So I recommend having both because evergreen will work in the background, but it's still good to show up in the front of the scene, because you want to meet your buyers where they are and also bring that fun energy along with you.
