A Simple Strategy to Easily Repurpose Your Content

As a coach it can be extremely overwhelming to think of the ways you can come up with new, creative and engaging content for your audience. The truth is you do not have to drive yourself mad trying to figure it out. Today I will share the steps you can take to repurpose your content !

Know What Your Audience is Looking For

It’s important that when you’re creating content and definitely when you’re repurposing it that you’re creating content that actually resonates with your audience. To do this effectively see what content has made an impact with your audience to begin with. Also consider doing key word research. When doing this be sure to pay attention to missing information, and lack of important details. Then determine how you can weave this into the content you will create so it really stands out and makes an impact for your audience .

Be Intentional About What You’re Creating

Repurposing content basically means taking one form of content and reusing it somewhere else. That sounds simple enough in theory, but it can get tricky in execution. To effectively make it work, it helps to produce content with repurposing in mind. This helps you so that you can easily turn it into different formats. Also considering in advance that you’re going to repurpose will help you really put your effort and energy into the content you create making it good content to deliver to begin with.

Change the Medium

Some people love podcasts, some love clubhouse, some love posts, some love reels. The point is when you change the medium you get to meet your audience where they are at. For example if you make a super dope blog post but some people are more in tune with your YouTube channel when you change the medium you’re ensuring you’re covering all of your audience. So determine how you can take your original post and change the presentation/ medium. And if you’re worried people will see it twice that’s okay. It doesn’t hurt for them to have that extra access to you or that extra reminder. You can also get super creative and take a live you used and repost it YouTube to strip the audio and put it on your podcast. Getting creative can save you time and kill two birds with one stone. I personally will use my blog posts as the description in my YouTube bio and that is always something I am grateful for.

Here are some examples of things you can repurpose:

  • YouTube video to a podcast

  • Social media posts into a blog or email

  • Blog posts into an ebook

  • Clubhouse talk into a podcast

  • Live stream minimized into a reel

  • Live stream into a YouTube video

  • Blog posts into a beefed up course

  • Graphic from a social media post to a part of your social media stories

You can take content and repurpose it in many different ways. This is not an exhaustive list I would challenge you to allow yourself to get creative with it.

Research says it can take up to 7x for people to really remember or embody a new lesson or new information . Do you audience a favor by continuing to bring your information and message back time and time again using different formats or mediums. Also while you’re doing your audience this favor you’re doing yourself a favor as well!
