3 Tips To Stand Out And Sell Out As A Coach
Hustle culture is gross
And it’s time to do away with trying a one size approach the coaching space
So many coaches don’t know their voice or what they stand for
It’s time for a change
In my upcoming training, “6 steps to stand out as a highly sought-after coach” I share how you can be more intentional with doing away with the hustle culture and instead embracing your authenticity to stand out.
Trying a one size fits all approach to expanding your brand is a sure-fire way to burnout and blend in
None of which you truly want
If you want to become a highly sought after coach you must stand out
Sure it may feel like you’re going against industry standard
Yup, it will certainly feel a little scary, but it will be beyond worth it.
Here are three ways to stand out as a coach
Learn to leverage your authenticity - It’s easy to fall into the cookie-cutter coach approach (that’s what I call it) where you’re doing what every other coach is doing, but that’s the best way to blend in and in turn, get lost on the sea of other coaches. If you want to increase your income and impact you have to be intentional about standing out.
Too many coaches are pretending to be something they're not. Changing their voice, showing up in a way that doesn't match who they really are etc. Doing this is not allowing you to create a sustainable brand. Instead, identify who you truly are and give yourself permission to show up from that place. For example, I do not cuss on a day to day basis. Therefore when I write blogs, or do lives etc I don't cuss there either. I don't want my clients to come to me and find out I am someone totally different behind the scenes than I am when I show up online.
Learn to run your business around your lifestyle - Some people are meant to work through dusk to dawn and some people aren’t. When you create a brand the best thing you can do is create one aligned with the lifestyle you live otherwise you will find that your business takes over your life and in turn, you become somewhat resentful of it.
Instead identify how you can find a healthy balance between the two. For example, I walk a lot to clear my head, now when I get amazing ideas while walking I will go live to share what is in my heart. I do not care if I am sweating bullets or look crazy. I in turn get to not only exercise but also connect with my audience at the same time.
Be yourself and while doing that give other people permission to do the same. When I first started my business I wanted to be everything but myself- I wasn’t sure if who I was would make a big difference. But the more I tried to be and do whatever everyone else was doing the more exhausted snd defeated I became. When I learned to simply be me I was more intentional I was more aligned and most importantly I created more success. For example, everyone and their mom will tell you that you have to niche down and stay there. I unapologetically avoid the term niche and have allowed myself to be multi-passionate. Because of this I also call in dream clients who are also multi-passionate and I get to fully support them. This is why I love helping other coaches fully embrace and leverage their authenticity because after all, it's your greatest asset.
