Practice Your Confidence
Without confidence it's hard to accomplish anything. The reason that so many people never fulfill their potential is not a lack of intelligence, opportunity or resources, but a lack of belief in themselves. It's a common belief that confidence as something that the lucky few are born with and the rest are left wishing for. The best thing about confidence is that anyone can have it. Yes sure we all have things that year us down but we do not have to allow it to control us.Confidence is all based on your mindset! Confidence is based on the outcome of the thoughts we think and the actions we take in response to those thoughts. Henry Ford once said "whether you believe you can or you can't you're right" . This is how confidence works it's all about what you believe about yourself .So basically confidence is something that you can control. There are literally practices you can put in place regularly that will help you to improve your confidence and therefore improve your life.Listed below are three examples. Confidence can wax and wane but with regular practice it will become a habit !1 . Practice gratitude . When you practice gratitude it allows you to focus on things that are going well instead of the things that are going wrong. Gratitude improves self esteem by reducing the need to compare your life.
- Practice positive thinking- . Positive thinking can actually create real value in your life and help you to build skills that last much longer than a simple smile. Positive thinking increases optimism and motivation. It also builds your resistance when life happens!
- Say Affirmations daily - . Where you put your attention determines the course of your life. Why not put it into positive things? When you say affirmations it helps you to align your dreams with your subconscious mind. This increases your focus on the things that inspire and motivate you.
"Self Confidence is the best thing you can own" this is a quote I l say to my clients regularly to gently remind them that they are in complete control of their confidence. Yes having confidence takes work, but can literally change your life. Confidence is like a muscle that must be exercised regularly. Keep working on it the benefits will be nothing short of amazing.
