5 Productivity Hacks For Coaches

A question that I often get asked is how do I balance everything as a coach. Let's be honest, it is indeed a big responsibility.  While the journey hasn't always been easy it has taught me alot  about productivity and today  I will share the top 5 productivity hacks I use as a coach.

2 minute rule

This rule is simple. If you can get something done in under 2 minutes do it now. Do not wait until later, because that is how you create an extensive and exhausting to do list.

Build in put out fire time

Lets be real life will come and sometimes create barriers to you getting things done. Whether it's you getting sick or something you to get done ASAP that you didn't remember before- will need to create space for putting out fires. When you're building out your schedule for the week ahead don't write in put out fire times, because you're actually attracting more fires to put out. Instead label it as down time. If during a particular day you need to put out fires use down time, if not use that time to catch or for getting ahead. Having that time built in ahead of time takes the pressure off you of you to have a loaded schedule and ton to show for it. The worst thing you can do is have an extremely packed schedule making zero space for down time.

EFT

Emotional Freedom Techniques is a form of counseling intervention that draws on various theories of alternative medicine – including acupuncture, neuro-linguistic programming, energy medicine, and Thought Field Therapy. Lately Emotional Freedom Tapping has been all the rave because it's a simple tool to use. I recommend using it daily to restore and protect your energy so you can show up effectively for your tribe.

Keeping a clear workspace

Research says that having a cluttered space will actually clutter your mind. If you want to show up effectively you will need to ensure you have a clear mind which first begins with decluttering your space. Take some time to clean your car so you can focus when driving, clean your office so you can get more done and clean your room so you can get more rest.

Delete, Delegate, Do

As a big advocate for replacing busy-ness with productivity I had adopted a strategy I use with my clients to increase their success.  My 3-D system (delete, delegate and do) that has helped me increase my productivity and my overall success. Simply put you look at your calendar and determine what needs to be deleted, what you can delegate and what actually needs to be done.
