Creative Ideas For Course Creators
Creating and launching your course is GREAT feat! Courses not only change your lives but others lives as well. The best thing is after creating a course the opportunities don’t end there. You have to get creative and think outside of the box because there are many ways you can increase your impact and income.
Let’s talk about those options:
Blog
As a course creator the good news is you have content from your course that you can grow and turn into a blog. The other good piece is that your audience will likely want to follow up with you. A blog is a great way to keep content going, keep your audience engaged and also consider selling content on your blog. If you’re looking for content for your blog you can always pull content from your course. The good news is since you have the content it won’t take a ton to get your blog started.
Book or eBook
Take a moment and consider what part of your course you could go more in depth with. You could then consider selling this as a stand alone product as an eBook or book. For example in my happily divorced course I teach all of the stages of divorce. In my book survive your split I teaching the healing AFTER divorce. Again when you have content you can pull and expand on it. If you're not a big writer eBooks are a great route to take because they are quick and people LOVE the opportunity to get their book delivered immediately.
Business
Have you had a desire to expand your brand or start a business? Once you add author to your bio you automatically stand out! After writing a book you can launch a business. You could do this by speaking, coaching, consulting etc. Also note you can become a professional writer if that’s what you desire but that is not the only business option.
Course
If you had success with your first course you will likely have success with an additional one.The neat thing is you don’t even have to overthink the process you have so much content all you have to do is re-purpose and build on that content and then it can become your signature course or signature service that you offer your audience. Start to poll your audience to see what they would like to learn more about.
Creating a Membership
You could create a monthly membership with lessons, workbooks calls etc. this is a great way to create a community around the content in your course. I wrote an entire book Make Your Message Your Masterpiece and I then created the course book writing boot camp.I used the same steps and I turned around and created a monthly membership (the plan to publish academy) that allows people that are writing their books to be able to have ongoing support and strategies that help them to be successful and less overwhelmed with the overall process. This has allowed my audience to go more in depth and really take the next step to accomplishing their goals. Honestly I think it’s a crime that more course creators do not consider this.
As you can tell the options are endless. The best thing though is as you begin to explore these options you get to build a portfolio meaning no matter what stage people come to you in or what kind of support they are looking for you have the tools to give them many opportunities. Now I challenge you to start using your creativity and step outside of the box to create more options that will not only increase your income but also increase your impact at the same time
