Gratitude for 2020

While it’s easy to focus on all of the things that have gone wrong I now know the importance of tuning into what you’re grateful for. I have been deeply studying energy and mindset and EVERYTHING is energy. What energy you carry is what you attract. So when you’re operating from a place of gratitude you attract more things to be grateful for. When you’re holding tight to anger you will in turn attract more things to be angry about. Now I know trying to maintain high vibe all the time can feel impossible. So I like to think of something my pastor shared and that is “what if you only woke up tomorrow with the things you thanked God for” considering this we all have a lot to be thankful for. Now I won’t list every single thing we would need to be on for a full week in that regard but I do want to share the top 5 things I am grateful for this year and why!

  1. What this year has revealed about changes we need to make as a collective - between the pandemic and the race inequalities this year has shown us a lot about things we need to fix. While we could focus on how awful it’s been I choose to believe that when things go wrong you get introduced to parts of yourself you hadn’t met. And what’s good about that is it’s a time to make changes and adjustments accordingly.

  2. Total health for my loved ones - let’s be honest there has been a lot of loss this year. Even I personally lost my brother and that was tough on our family.I am leaning in more snd more to appreciating and loving on my family it’s so important.

  3. Impact - (using YouTube, zoom and social media)- I was worried this year how my business would change. I was supposed to have a big speaking engagement one week after we went into a mass shut down. I was so sad but trusted that it would all workout. While I didn’t have a chance to redo it I have been able to use the online platform to still reach people all over the world which I am forever grateful for.

  4. My year long commitment to myself - it’s easy to get in our own way with our limiting beliefs and thoughts. This year I made a commitment to shifting that pattern I created snd focusing on believing in myself 100%! This was a non negotiable decision ! While some days it’s been so hard other days this has been worth it’s weight in gold.

  5. Continued learning - I have always been a nerd as some people would say I like to refer to it as a life long learner. Learning is my passion and this year while we have had opportunities to slow down I got to dig deeper on some passions of mine.

What are you grateful for this year? How can you hold tight to that gratitude ? I would love to hear from you!
